Welcome to North London Therapy Practice. I’m Alan Garber, a dedicated CBT therapist passionate about helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys with empathy, expertise, and care. Using the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), I provide a safe, supportive space where clients can build emotional resilience and improve their mental well-being.

  • Postgraduate Diploma in CBT, University of Hertfordshire (2022)

With a background in Human Geography, I offer a unique perspective on how our environments shape our experiences and mental health. This foundation, paired with my specialization in CBT, allows me to address a broad spectrum of mental health challenges.

My Approach
My practice is enriched by diverse experiences, including my time as a hospital chaplain. This role deepened my appreciation for the importance of emotional and spiritual support in recovery. I integrate behavioural activation and mindfulness into my work, crafting personalized strategies that align with each client's individual needs. I value collaboration, compassion, and sensitivity to cultural and personal backgrounds, ensuring a holistic approach to healing.

Current Role
Since December 2021, I have been part of the Priory Hospital North London team as a CBT therapist. I am a proud member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP), continually striving to bring the most effective, evidence-based treatments to my clients.
