Therapy In-Person or Online £65

So, you’re looking for someone to talk to? Maybe it’s a therapist?

Maybe you don’t quite know or aren’t sure exactly what you’re looking for? Finding someone to talk to, finding a therapist who’s right for you is complicated. That makes sense.

Let me tell you a bit about me and how I work and we’ll see, maybe we’re a good fit.

I’ve been working with people who are distressed, who have big questions, for most of my working life. I’ve worked with children and teenagers who couldn’t stomach school, who were kicked out or refused to go. I worked with them as a youth worker and a tutor. I’ve worked in NHS Crisis Teams with adults experiencing psychosis and other serious mental illnesses. I’ve worked in the charity sector with people whose suicidal feelings were overwhelming them. When I’m using that generic ‘I’ve worked with’, what I mean to say is that I’ve talked and listened to people in all sorts of situations, and I’ve been lucky enough to see the whole person.

As a therapist, I want to work with anyone who wants to be in therapy. If you’ve got niggles or glaring big signs that keep you up at night, if you’re depressed, if you know you’re not quite where you want to be, if you see the past is hovering in your present, then I’d love to work with you.

I’ll work hard to give you the time and space to figure out how you want to use therapy. I'll bring my experience, my training and all the tools I’ve got at my disposal into the room each week.

And what about me being another white, femme-presenting face on this list? Well, I won’t know your life experience before you walk through the door. Whatever your experience, I will not have walked in your shoes. But I will make sure you are only ever educating me on your life and not feeling the burden of educating me on a group of people’s experiences.

I’m a qualified integrative counsellor, which means that I have an Advanced Diploma from a BACP-accredited course. Being accredited by the BACP lets you know that I work to an agreed set of ethics and standards, and my training did the same.

I’ve got an academic background in psychology too. I have an undergraduate BSc degree and a masters from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience.

Here’s a bit about me as a person. I’m queer, I’m a Londoner, I’ve worked in the corporate world as well as within mental health services, but I always come back to working with people. My interest in therapy comes from my own experiences with it. I’m dedicated and determined.

Deciding to call a therapist is a lot. Take your time. I look forward to hearing from you whenever you’re ready.
