Psychotherapist in Training

Therapy In-Person or Online £50

I am a UKCP psychotherapist in training with extensive experience of working with clients with a vast array of different life stories and experiences. My training is in person-centred psychotherapy, which focuses on providing a warm, understanding and empathic space and building a therapeutic relationship which can act as a vessel for you to explore yourself and your own experiences. This is absolutely fundamental in any therapy, and I believe that regardless of the training or way of working, it is most important to show up as a human first, or as Jung put it ‘Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul just be another human soul’

I also have experience in working in a variety of ways, such as parts work and gestalt, and I believe that no one knows yourself better than you, so I am open to exploring and working in whichever way you feel suits your needs best. Therapy is a collaborative experience, and my goal is to be alongside you wherever your journey takes you.

I believe that taking the step of seeking therapy is an impactful decision for anyone, and it can be daunting stepping into the unknown, but if nothing changes, nothing changes. My experience of therapeutic relationships has been fundamental in my own personal journey and has helped me immensely in being able to be there for myself and for the people around me.

I believe wholeheartedly in the therapeutic space and relationship as a vessel for understanding, and have experienced it myself on both sides of the coin. Relationships matter, and they have the power to both hurt us and heal us, and I believe that through a safe, non-judgemental, empathic space, it can give us the freedom to be able to understand how we got here, where we want to go next, and how to get there.

I know how important this step is, and being able to be a part of your journey matters to me immensely. I believe that we as humans find ways to survive, to cope with our own experiences and to get through them, but what therapy can provide is an opportunity to pause and reflect and ask the question: do they still work for us now? And what choices can we make to shape the future that we deserve.
