Understanding the Roots of Your Challenges
There are times in our lives when we can encounter painful and challenging experiences or situations. Fears, anxieties and general unhappiness can sometimes lead to emotional
difficulties that interfere with our everyday functioning, manifesting themselves in the workplace or in our relationships with those who are closest to us, be they our partner, our children, our wider family or our friends.

Often, the difficulties we face in the present anxiety, persistent conflict, or a sense of unhappiness are connected to patterns formed much earlier in our lives. In my practice, I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where we can begin to explore these deeper layers. By understanding the unconscious factors at play, we can move beyond "quick fixes" toward lasting emotional freedom and improved well-being.

My Approach
I work from a Psychodynamic / Psychoanalytic perspective, which means our sessions will involve:
• Exploring the Past: Identifying how early life experiences and family dynamics continue to influence your current relationships and parenting style.
• Uncovering Patterns: Recognizing recurring thoughts or behaviours that may be keeping you "stuck" in unhelpful cycles.
• Exploring Current Issues and Difficulties: Thinking about their impact and how best to manage this, while keeping in mind possible underlying meanings

Services Offered
I offer services to Couples, to Parents and to Individuals wanting to think about their couple relationship. These range from long term work to briefer interventions, depending on what is appropriate, but whether you come to see me as a parent, as a couple or as an individual you will be met with a calm, thoughtful, interested and supportive approach as we explore difficult issues together.
Parents
The challenges of being a parent /carer are often greatly underestimated. Each stage brings with it its own concerns and certain times can be particularly trying. It can therefore be very helpful to be able to think with someone about tricky issues that you may face on a daily basis or about more serious difficulties that may seem quite entrenched.
Couples
Relationships can sometimes feel overwhelming and frustrating. You may feel angry, helpless or bewildered in the face of particular difficulties. You may feel stuck in unhelpful patterns of communication that cause pain and distress both to you and your partner. In such circumstances it can be hard to believe that someone else will understand how you feel. But couple therapy can help with all kinds of relationship issues such as
• conflict,
• depression,
• stress,
• anxiety,
• intimacy,
• bereavement,
• infidelity,
• divorce and separation.
• pregnancy and the transition to parenthood

Regardless of the issue you come with, our sessions will offer opportunities for you and your partner to increase your understanding of each other so that repeated patterns of negative interaction can gradually be replaced by healthier and more supportive ways of communicating, resulting in improved well-being and peace of mind.
